Contradance with Mourning Glories and caller Angela DeCarlis
Mourning Glories are an old-hearted band of young-people that love sharing old-time and contradance with the world. They will hold a beginner-friendly contradance Sunday after breakfast in the lodge.
"Old-time and Irish Tunes: A Beginner Friendly Workshop"
Join Arthur Rosales and Lilli Bing for a couple fiddle tunes around the fire! Attendees can learn traditional American and Irish tunes on their acoustic instrument of choice.We will discuss "session" style playing and run through the tunes phrase-by-phrase with a focus on both melodic and rhythm parts. This workshop is designed to be accessible for all skill levels.
Santa Fe River- Challenges, Solutions, and Such
This discussion will focus on what makes the Santa Fe River and springs so unique. We will explore current threats, steps we can all take, and the larger changes that will take public support to manifest. Stacie Greco has worked with local government to protect our water for over 15 years. She specializes in behavior change and engaging stakeholders. Stacie spends much of her time exploring the region in her kayak.
